How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule by calling our office at (645) 215-2600.

What are your office hours?
Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday: Closed

How do I schedule a well-child check-up or sports physical?
To schedule an appointment, please call our office at (645) 215-2600. We recommend booking early, especially in the weeks leading up to the start of the school year.

What is your policy on late arrivals?
If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, please contact us in advance. While we will make every effort to accommodate your child, we may need to reschedule the appointment in order to stay on time for other families.

Do you offer same-day sick visits?
Yes, we set aside appointments each day for urgent or same-day visits.

Do you offer telehealth visits?
Yes, for certain concerns that can be safely and appropriately managed through a virtual visit.

What do I do if my child is sick at night or on weekends?
To reach the on-call pediatrician, please call our main office number. For medical emergencies, dial 911.

Location & Accessibility

Where is Bay Harbor Pediatrics located?
Our office is conveniently located in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, at 1111 Kane Concourse, Suite 504, Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154. Upon arrival, please take the elevator to the 5th floor.

Is parking available?
Yes, complimentary parking is available onsite directly behind our building. Metered parking is also available in front of the building along Kane Concourse.

Billing & Insurance

What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Cigna, United, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Avmed, Memorial Health Network and Oscar. For the most up-to-date list of accepted insurance providers, please visit our website or contact our office directly.

How do I verify my insurance coverage?
To verify your insurance coverage, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly. Additionally, our staff is available to assist you and provide guidance throughout the process.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards, checks, cash, Venmo and Zelle.

How does billing work for sick visits vs. preventative care?
Well visits are typically covered in full by most insurance plans. However, sick visits, lab tests, vaccines, and procedures may incur additional charges depending on your specific insurance coverage.

Where can I find your billing and payment policies?
Our billing and payment policies can be requested at the front desk. Bay Harbor Pediatrics requires a credit card on file for all patients.

Services & Care

What services do you provide?
We provide a comprehensive range of pediatric services, including newborn care, well-child visits, sick visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, sports and camp physicals, and more. For a complete list of services, please see here (hyperlink “our services” page).

What is the vaccination schedule?
We adhere to the guidelines established by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Your pediatrician will review these guidelines with you during your visits.

Do you offer subspecialty services?
We manage a broad range of pediatric needs and provide referrals to specialists, when necessary.

What ages do you treat?
We care for patients from newborns through young adults, up to 21 years of age.

At which hospitals are you on staff?
Our pediatricians are affiliated with leading local children’s hospitals, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Please contact our office for more information.

Will you visit my child in the hospital?
We are credentialed at both Mount Sinai Medical Center and Memorial Regional Hospital. Additionally, we collaborate closely with local physicians and provide consultations as needed.

How do I get a referral to a specialist?
Please contact our office for assistance. Some insurance plans require prior authorization, so kindly allow a few days for processing.

New Patients & Records

How do I become a new patient?
Please call our office to register and schedule your initial appointment. New patient forms can be conveniently sent to you via email.

What information is needed for registration?
Immunization records, prior medical records, insurance details, and a parent’s photo ID.

How often should my child have a well-child visit?
We adhere to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines, which recommend frequent visits during infancy, followed by annual check-ups from age 3 through young adulthood.

How do I request a copy of my child’s records?
To request a copy of your child’s records, please submit your request via email or in person at the front desk. Kindly allow up to five business days for processing.

How do I request school or camp forms?
Forms can be requested either in the office or via email. Please allow up to five days for processing and completion.

How do I access lab results or vaccine records?
Lab results and vaccine records are accessible through the Patient Portal. If you have any questions, our nursing staff is available to review and discuss your results.

How do I sign up for the Patient Portal?
You will receive Patient Portal login instructions during your first visit. We can also provide these details by phone, upon request.

What is your privacy policy?
We strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of your child’s personal health information.

After-Hours & Emergencies

What is the process for after-hours emergencies?
For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911 immediately. For urgent concerns outside of regular office hours, contact our main number to be connected with the on-call pediatrician.
